Is TrimRx legit?

A real business with a real prescription requirement. The question worth asking is what it dispenses and what it bills — $399 a month.

How we make money: one company on this page — Coreage Rx — pays us a commission when a reader signs up through our link. It buys them nothing else: not a better score, not a higher place in the table, not the removal of a single criticism. Our scoring method and full disclosure are both public.

Short answer: TrimRx is a real, operating telehealth business that requires a prescription and a clinician review, and there is nothing in what we checked to suggest otherwise. The longer answer is about what exactly it dispenses and what it charges.

"Legit" tends to mean two different things when people search it. One is "will I be scammed" — and on that, TrimRx behaves like a legitimate business. The other is "is what I am being sold what I think it is", and that is the question worth more of your time.

What we verified

  • Compounded tirzepatide advertised at $349/month.
  • Checkout has been reported billing $399/month on ongoing month-to-month terms.
  • Pricing is described as all-inclusive of consultation, medication and supplies.

All checked 2026-09-18 from published sources.

The five-point check

  • Requires a prescription and a clinician review. Yes — TrimRx routes intake through a licensed clinician before anything ships. Any seller that does not is the single clearest warning sign in this market.
  • Dispenses FDA-approved medication. No — this is a compounded preparation, which the FDA has not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality. That is true of most low-cost programmes and is not by itself a mark against them, but you should know it.
  • Names its compounding pharmacy. Not publicly. Ask before you order, and ask whether it is a 503A pharmacy or a registered 503B outsourcing facility.
  • Publishes its ongoing price. Partly. The advertised figure is $349 and the billed figure is $399 — Read the ongoing rate on the checkout screen, not the landing page. Reported billing is $399/month.
  • States what happens on cancellation. Less clearly than we would like. Check the terms before prepaying a multi-month plan.

What "compounded" means here. A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication against an individual prescription. It is legal and long-established, but the preparation itself is not FDA-approved. Since the shortages resolved the rules have narrowed considerably — see is compounded still legal.

Where it falls short

  • Advertised $349 and billed $399 do not match on ongoing terms.
  • Expensive relative to flat-rate competitors.

Red flags we did not find

  • No prescription requirement — not the case here.
  • Medication sold as "research chemicals" or "not for human consumption" — not the case here.
  • Prices far below every other seller, which usually signals an unlicensed source.
  • No way to contact a clinician after purchase.
  • No named clinical leadership anywhere on the site.

Our verdict

TrimRx is legitimate in the sense most people mean. Whether it is *right* for you is a separate question, and it comes down to the $399 a month and advertised $349 and billed $399 do not match on ongoing terms. Our full assessment is in the TrimRx tirzepatide review.
